Here we are with the Bairds, in front of the Ravelet Chateau in Cherbourg. They took us here the morning we left to go back to La Rochelle.
This is the view from our seat on the train from Paris to La Rochelle as we came back from Cherbourg. It is a "bullet" train (TGV) that travels about 130 miles per hour. The train system here is great, and can get you to most of the cities in France. And they are usually on time!
Recently we visited a lady in Niort, about 45 miles from here. She has a pomegranate bush in her front yard, and I thought they looked rather pretty.
We were invited to lunch with our friends, the Rigbys who live just outside La Rochelle. They have lived there for about 6 years, and have a nice home and garden. She is the Relief Society president in our ward.
Our weather is not always beautiful. We were on our morning walk and saw these clouds forming - we headed back as the winds picked up. The rain bypassed us and we didn't get wet.
